Podiatry Digital X-ray: Why These Rooms Use a 10×12 Detector

2026-08-28 · podiatry · Momentum DR · Rayence

Weight-bearing foot and ankle work needs a low-profile base and a cassette-sized 10×12 cesium panel. Here is the honest upgrade-versus-new-room split.

Weight-bearing foot and ankle work is built around 10×12 geometry — the tray, the SID, and the base. We walk through that on the consult so the detector matches the exam. We sell Momentum DR 10×12 from 20/20 Imaging and Konica Minolta (100 micron, REALISM processing, 3.3 lb, capacitor — no batteries) and the Rayence 1012WCC (CsI, 127 µm, 3.7 lb, IPX6, auto-trigger).

New rooms: PXS-710D high-frequency unit with a choice of 10×12, 10×13, or (when the doctor truly wants it) 14×17, plus Symmetry-Sync and the DPM toolset — hallux angles, IMA, PASA, DASA, metatarsal parabola. Digital upgrades keep the generator you already own and put the detector, software, and a low-profile base in place when the old cassette tray is the bottleneck. See podiatry digital X-ray.

If you are still on film or CCD / X-Cel, the conversion is usually a one-visit job. We install, train, and leave a technique starting point. Request a quote — we do not publish dealer price books.
